  1. The fishing has been up and down along with the weather. I did get into a nice school of fish shallow a couple of days ago but for the most part they have been in the 32 to 40 foot range. I hace had the best luck with dropper rigs and blue and white Hali's. The days I dont get them with a jigging presentation minnows work well, it happend to me yesterday. I have been doing most of my fishing in blacktiger bay and in front of the casino. The Walleye fishing remains steady with most of my fish comeing from 10 to 15 ft. of water. Some nights we catch them jigging with jigging spoons and some nights the come off of tip-ups with a treble hook and a minnow. Good luck fishing! 2. I would bet that the fish will be going deep real soon with the sub zero temps.
  3. The ice is 12 to 15 inches every place I have been. People seem to be driving every where, I would still check it if you go out in a new area. Good Luck! Jason Feldner www.percheyes.com ------------------
  4. Well we had some great fishing on black Tiger Bay this weekend. With the low pressure system that attact us the fishing was on fire. We took out 5 guys on Sun. and fell 7 fish short of our limit. We fished in 21 foot of water and it didnt seem to matter what you were useing. Sunday we ended up with 129 Perch and 23 Walleyes on a hump out on the flats by far the best Walleye bite yet this year. I had to go back last night and see if the eyes were still there and yes they were we limited out with 15 nice eaters. I still think the day of a low pressure system and the day after is the best. Today the fishing was tuff we had 22 for the two of us, it's not that the fish were not there they just wouldnt bite. Maybe the next time you go out watch the weather and try it during a low pressure system. Keep your line tight. Jason Feldner www.percheyes.com ------------------
  5. The Perch and Walleye fishing has not missed a beat. The Perch seem to be going to the deep water more and more each day as the ice thickens and as travel is more. The Best Perch fishing has been the first two hours of the day, the later it gets the harder they are to catch. You will get on and off action through out the day. Most of my fish are comeing in the 36 to 40 foot of water on spikes and wax worms. The Walleye seem to still be in the 10 to 15 foot range with best luck the last hour of the day. Jigging spoons tipped with a minnow head work well, dont forget to put out tip-ups and spread then out to find the best area to fish. 6. A little tip if you run into those finicky Perch. Try useing fire Line to detect really lite bites this line has no stretch and can make a huge differance. Onother thing that helps is a camera to see how they react to you jigging method. One last thing dont always go smaller with you lures if you are marking fish and they wont bite, try bulking it up a little with a bigger spoon with spikes and or wax worm on each hook. Good luck fishing. Jason Feldner www.percheyes.com
  7. Well the ice is finally here! Black Tiger Bay has 8 to 12 inches on it with fish being caught any where from 12 to 40 foot of water, I have been averageing 28 Perch each time out. I cut my days a little short to fish Walleyes in the eavning. East Bay and the Main Lake all have 8 to 12 inches of Ice. I have had no trouble going any where with an ATV. The flats have 10 to 14 inches of ice. Some people are starting to creap out with cars but I would'nt do so my self. The Perch and Walleye fishing has been good where ever I seem to go. I hope this keeps going for the rest of the winter. Good luck fishing. Jason Felnder www.percheyes.com
  8. Went out fishing for the first time yesterday, we set up for Walleyes in the afternoon and had little luck pulling 4 keeper walleyes out the last hour of the day. Forgot my GPS so I dont think I was in the spot I wanted to be on, oh well it was great to be out. We fished the east end of the flats in 13 ft. of water and had 9 inches of ice. We caught 3 walleyes jigging one on a sonar and two on a jigging rap, the other one came on a tip-up. I will keep you posted. www.percheyes.com
  9. Hello my name is Jason of I will be giving fishing reports as often as possible. I went out to check some ice conditions today some bad and some good. The most fishable area seems to be the flats and the Mulvee Coulee are. I found 4 to 8 inches of ice, I walked off of the Grahams Island road obout a mile and a half, this is where I had the best ice. I also went off the boat landing in Minnewaukan where I live and walked out about a 1/4 mile and had 5 inches of ice. Then I went to the mouth of six mile and the main lake, they both had spotty ice on them with open water. The same goes for east bay. I didnt get to black tiger today but I will in the next couple of Days and I will get back to you. One thing I know is that this early ice on the flats can be great Walleye fishing, if you decide to go be carefull. I hope this cold snap will give us a little more ice. Keep your feet dry and I will post another report real soon! ------------------ percheyed, what happened to you? [This message has been edited by Rick (edited 12-09-2003).]
