Had all of last week off work so I pounded the northern Minn. lakes and experienced much of what you wrote about. Had numerous follows (30+) but only had 5 strikes by skis. Caught 40+ northern pike and the majority of the action came between 11:30 - 1:30 pm. We fished a lot of 4:30am - 4 pm slots and could have just slept in! ))
