Silverado wiring ?

Recommended Posts

I am in the middle of redoing my trailer light hookup on my 2000 half ton but have come to a crossroad.

I have two green wires coming from the truck one of which (dark green) I found to be right turn signal but there is a lighter green wire which I am unsure of what it does. I have the brown (tail lights), white (ground), yellow (left turn), and blue (trailer brake) hooked up. Another Question I have two extra wires coming from my 7 pin connect one purple for backup lights and a black for a fused accessory according to the diagram on the box.

Lt green might be the revers lights. If there's power with the truck in reverse your on the right track.

I think the fused accessory would be if you needed to run a power supply to the trailer (charge a break away battery maybe?) The purple would be to energize a solenoid to disengage hydraulic brakes when backing up (i think).
