walleye 4 me
I finally got my first boat and I am wondering how you know what the RPM redline is? It has a 3.0 Liter i/o. Not sure on the prop size and pitch. Any help is appreciated.
hydro
Check the owners manual or with the manufacturer of the I/O to see what the recommended "operating range" is for RPM. With an average load, at WOT you should be in the upper 20% if you are set up and propped right. The term "Red Line" is often misused, and really implies that bad things happen when you exceed it.
