nate larson
Does anyone on here pick ramps (aka wild leeks) in the spring? I have never done it myself but I am thinking about giving it a try. I have found a few pictures online. It sounds like they are very popular in the south but I have seen people picking them around here as well. For those of you that do pick them I am curious to know when you start finding them. Thanks!
jerkin'm
They are one of the first green shoots in the woods...usually early to mid may is best before they start to flower..a dandelion digger is the perfect extraction tool. Use the greens and bulbs on them.
