Perch fishing right after Ice out.

I know its a little early yet to be posting this but here goes. Where are the perch most likely to be hanging out right after ice out on any givin lake. I mean what kind of depth and bottom structure should you look at to find them? Deep, shallow? Rocks, weeds, soft bottom? Also, would water temp have anything to do with where they are that early in the year? I'd like to get the boat out after some perch soon as the ice goes out and I have never done it before. Or should a guy just leave them alone tell after they spawn?

Rocks and shallow fellas. We have a few great lakes around here. We are in about 8 or 9 feet on the flats. You can almost site fish them. Its a great time. Alot of the big females are up shallow feed on bugs and stuff coming out of the bottom. fat head or even a shiner sometimes when the big ones are really biting!
