it was 28 degrees out or so, so i was de-icing my guides every few casts, but i wasn't cold. plenty of layers and hand warmers. just a strange look on my face for some reason.

i'm 90% sure i'm done for the year....

Nice fish! I didnt get out this last weekend, the lakes that I've been fishing have pretty much capped. Im done for the year! Bring on the ice, I need to test out my new fryer!

I was fighting a cold over the weekend so I only was out for about 3 hours each day. Saturday I caught one at 20.25" and one at 20". I also had a good one come off. I think if I could have fished longer I could have put more in the boat. Sunday I went to a different lake and got skunked. I'm hoping for open water this coming weekend for one last shot at them. It's a long way til spring!

This is my first fish for the wall... 23.5incher, I'm going to get my replica made tomorrow...Caught this big boy on Mille Lacs day after christmas, 2 minutes after I just pulled up a 21in haha..I'd rather catch these over wallys anyday

Now I can't tell you that cecil ,jk it was 14 or 15ft I believe...I wish I would have weighed it or took a girth measurement for gods sake lol...I didn't even think of getting a replica until I looked up the state record haha and now I'll always wonder how close I was...So if I hear someone catches a new state record 23.5in smally...I'll know

dam didn't want to give it away ...yes unfortunately, for me the Mille Lacs walleye is an elusive one...been there twice this year and havent caught one lol

Im not trying to bring any negativity at all, just saying.... Try not to harass smallies too much in the winter in can really stress them out and they may not make it through it.
