RiverBassGuy
My stars that is an enormous fish! Congrats on hoisting that thing up the ice hole with 2lb line. I'd say that sets the benchmark pretty high for 2009

Traxxx
We've been getting quite a few using 1/16th ounce forage minnows spoons near the reed edge. Also tip-ups with sucker minnows have been getting a few too.

fishuhalik
Hey adam, charlie didn't get that fish, did he? I'm heading to the river w/ him on weds. morning.
TonkaBass
No he didn't; it was someone else. Although charlie did fall in the river and filled his waders when I was out there with him At least the water temp was 57F, so he made it out fine, his cell phone, however, didn't. Cooter
One of those tiny, weedy spring fed lakes - I've caught a pair in summer the same size as hers plus one years ago that was 23.5". However, the long one was SKINNY - all head and mouth, only weighed 4.2lbs. Woulda been a dandy either before spawn or before she went downhill. I pulled a 44.5" inch northern out of the same lake. I'm gonna hit that lake in June before the weeds take over and fish a musky sized jitterbug or small hawg wobbler after dark - might even align a moon phase
