I had a fish trap guide, clam has some great fabric but I sold it and bought a Shappell 4000, I would take a look at them. Can get a little bigger one for the same money. The Shappells are on sale this week at a Fleet Farm, $157-$315 i think. The 4000 has skiis build in, Nice feature. but you can add them for to the 2000 and 3000's for 30 bucks I think. We had 4 people and a 20lb sunflower heater in mine the other day. Might be worth a look, just my $.02

Two people in a Clam 2000 would be a very tight fit especially after you start adding heaters/gear/etc... The Shappell 3000 is a little bit bigger than the 2000 and has a flat centerfold area which makes it seem that much bigger. You can also stand in the S 3000. Both about the same price. I would definately look into them before buying the Clam 2000.

I got a Clam 2000 for christmas. Its been out 10+ times since then, usually with 2 people. I love it. I can fit a dewalt radio, buddy heater, tackle, and 2 guys with no trouble as long as you know where to put everything so its out of the way. Its really easy to pull across the lake even with everything loaded on top, and I can lift it onto my jetta's roof rack by my self with no problem. The only problem Ive had so far is the fiberglass poles started to split at the ends where they slide together, but a little electrical tape should prevent them from splitting any further. Also buckets work better than bag chirs if your tall because your kneas end up too close to the hole.

I have one and it has been a good little ice house for me. I drive a small car and it fits in my backseat no problem. Short fishing poles are key if fishing with two people because the house isn't very wide. It works great for one person though and it is very light which is nice. That being said, if I had a bigger vehicle I would definately go with a flipover type icehouse instead.

I got one for christmas also and have used it a handfull of times with and without another fisherman. It's great for one person. You'll only have room for one hole each if you do two. But if you're like me and use tip ups, then its not a big deal. Sets up quick and easy. Doors on both sides make it easy to get in and out with two people. Great bargain house.

I have fished out of the Clam 2000 with my wife for 2 years now. It has been a great house for the money we spent. Sets up quick, easy to pull out, and quick to tear down. We have fished in all types of conditions and the house holds heat really well. We can fit bag chair (for my wife), bucket (for me), Mr Buddy Heater, Rod Bag, Northstar lantern, and many other things inside while fishing. I am 5"10 and can stand up in the house and stretch out. We also have a Vexilar in each hole. Good luck!

I would suggest a clam 5600 if you want to fish two people. I have had mine now for a season and works great for two people. I can still fit it in the back of my car with the seats folded down. The only downfall is trying to still fish 4 holes in the corners. If you put the holes in both the 2 hole slots it is not a problem but if you try to fish the corners it gets hard. But good luck and have fun out there!

I actually owned one got it for an x-mas present and it worked great for 4 ice seasons until the plastic floor went out on it. I ended up converting it into my spearhouse now and just put a wood floor instead of plastic. Its a pretty good house for how big it is and light. I would invest in some bungy straps if you plan on hauling your equipment on it, perhaps make a seperate sled for it and to strap down if you plan on using it on lakes like Mille Lacs or Leech where snowmobile and wheeler access comes into play. Because the floor is plastic and doesn't hold up to the ice that well as a fish trap or otter sled. But if your just walking to your spots its a great investment as it is pretty lightweight and compact.
