556LaGue
Here's the bluegill I've been searching for since last year in June! I'm on a slip bobber kick lately. We were fishing for walleyes and ended up w a good handful of fish just shy of this guy! They showed up and kept us very busy for a good 20 mins. Some more catch and release F-U-N! 556LaGue
The fish slayer is at again!!! The color on this Gill is crazy! Not a giant by any means, but a beautiful respectable gill! Caught all by himself on a slip bobber and leech in about 6 fow. With a handful of others that were smaller and a few small pike. Very proud of my mini-me!! He'll be tournament fishing with me in no time at the rate he's learning! Have a look! monstermoose78 and Mike89
Popular Post Thalmann
Had a phenomenal day out on the water yesterday. Big Bluegills are on the chew. We found all our fish on the inside weed line in about 6-11 feet of water. All fish were caught on a hairjig with a leech. It seemed like movement and little twitches were the key. Vertical jigging produced but the bigger fish were caught casting and making little twitches and letting it fall. Multiple fish over 10". Get out while the fishing is hot! 556LaGue, Mike89, BartmanMN and 5 others

Popular Post Thalmann
Had a great 4th of July weekend and spent a lot of it out on the water chasing Big Gills. Here's a couple pics from the weekend. Been working the cabbage edges pretty heavily lately. 9-12 feet of water. Vertical Jigging with full leeches and crawlers were the ticket. Popular Post Thalmann
What an awesome weekend on the water! I was able to get out both Sat and Sun mornings and even got my son Ryker to come with on Sun. We worked the deep edge of a Sand grass flat in 9-12' of water and found the fish stacked up right on the edge. The fish were very aggressive so we quickly switched from a small tungsten jig over to a 1/16 ounce jig tipped with a full crawler or leech. Many fish over that 10" mark. All fish released. Popular Post Thalmann
It was too nice of a night on Friday to not go fishing, so I got home from work, grabbed my boy and off to the lake we went. It didn't take long to find the fish we were looking for. Still working the edge of a sand grass flat in 9-12' of water. Fish were really stacked up that night right on the edge. We used 1/16 ounce skirt jigs with full leeches to get it done. All fish were released. Fishing remains Hot! eyeguy 54, ANYFISH2, ozzie and 4 others

Popular Post Thalmann
Managed to sneak out on Saturday morning for a couple hours and chase Slabs and Big Gills. I quickly started marking fish on a cabbage edge in 11-13' of water. Vertical jigging skirt jigs with full size leeches did the trick. While it was a numbers day, size surely made up for it. Crappies were in that 12-14" with the largest close to 15". Gills were right around the 10" mark. Fishing remains hot despite climbing water temps. monstermoose78, ozzie, Rick G and 3 others
