Two days ago I saw 30 robins in a crabapple tree out of my window. They were gulping down the fruit hanging on the tree. Several of them were on the ground picking up the dropped fruit. I grabbed my camera, put the 100-300 lens on and fired away. I didn't know robins would travel in a troupe like this during the winter. Do they normally stay in Minnesota all winter? I recall that seeing them in March is a harbinger of spring. What does this scene in January forecast?
