Cowgirl components

So I'm going to make some lures this winter to fight off boredom. I know that Cowgirls have .051 wire. But... What size clevis attaches the blades, what size beads are on them, and that other bullet shaped pice the size would be??? Also I've heard that throttle cable is what the flashabou is wrapped around. Where do you get that? If anyone can let me know, it would save me some time and possibly money. Thanks in advance.

I use different sizes of clevis and beads. Some I match exactly to DCG specs and others I just use what I have on hand. In my experience it doesn't make much of a difference. You can also purchased pre-tied flashabou to avoid tying. I sometimes work with flashabou, but the pre-rigged stuff is great and saves some time. Thorne Bros. in Fridley (FM Sponsor) has everything you need. Also, the guys in the fly shop at thornes are very helpful with learning to tie different types of skirts.

I believe a size 6 clevis is used. The beads are not as important as you are just trying to get the blades a certain distance from the skirt. However that is chance to add or subtract weight by going with hollow or solid beads. The DCG's use a combo of beads and a lure body though.
