Chippewa flowage

Recommended Posts

Well, it’s that time of year again. I’m heading to the Chip this Friday for the Sconny opener. We did O.K. last year on the flowage catching a few fish in about 8-12 feet of water in the transition areas.

I would appreciate any help you could give us for this year’s trip. Types of structure, baits, and general areas are all appreciated.

I'll be fishin the flowage too, like I always do. I'm no pro. I like to stick to the basics. Bounce your jig off the rocks, fish around floating bogs, or look for places with current. Use 1/8 jigs and minnows. I can't be spot specific, but where you find snags, you'll find walleyes.
Good luck.
