just wondering how much ice you need to drive and park on

so did anyone hear happened on lake washington? today hope soo. not that im dump but lets park closer together at the landing when the ice is only 8-9 1/2 inch it takes brains i guess.

i saw many people drive out on the ice. i guess 9 1/2 inch is safe drive on not in my book.

I drove out last night but it was in a 2 wheel drive s-10- drove the wheeler out last weekend and checked the ice with the auger every 100' or so I felt confident it was safe where I drove. I know 10" is fine for the s-10

i drove out on a small lake up here there was 12" and i was still skeptical. but i think 12" is enough for my jimmy
