Musky Buck
Did I read it right they want to shoot 100 turkeys for what purpose ? It was in Sunday's Star and Trib I believe, Dec. 7 issue. What will they gain by doing this ? Just unclear as to the purpose and the net gain. MB

Musky Buck
Thanks, interesting. Around the Wadena area they have really taken off, we have been chasing them out of the bird seed for 2-3 years now, we'll have times where there are 70-80 of these birds in the yard. Just about to be a nuisance, leaving there manure on our brand new stained fence.
DonBo
Time to get a tag and take care of that little problem! Permits gotta be in by Jan. 9.
Borch
Also sounds like the trap and transplant by the DNR will really be cut back this year if it happens at all. Looks like they are gonna leave it up to the turkeys for at least now.
Musky Buck
The problem isn't the tom turkey, rarely see any of them as they are shot up pretty hard, or too smart to enter our yard, it's the hens and young ones, dump some bird seed for the cardinal and the turkeys come a runnin like my grandma when we pop the cork on a wine bottle.
