Chetek Chain, Barron County

Didn't see this chain on the Wisconsin Forums so decided to start a thread off.

The chain has good ice 6-8" over most of the north end of Prairie. Action last weekend was mainly located in the area of Veteran's Park and out of Frankenberg Slough...(shack Village). The guys are parking on the ice by the landing in Frankenberg but, not seeing them drive onto the main lake as yet.

Heard of two guys who iced over 100 gills in less than thre and half hours...they had to weed them, but still ended up with 30 Nice ones. Another was out in the same area both Saturday and Sunday, and did well both days.

Colors seemed to vary....blue and black for the two guys and orange for the other one. Waxies over spikes for bait.

Anyone else been out?????

Take care and be careful out there.

Haven't been out there yet. I am from Cameron but live in Superior now. I was thinking about getting down there over Christmas. Any luck with the walleye?

I kind of miss going out at Nate's Car Wash (Prarie).
