Empire heater differences ?

Looking at the 14-15,000 btu heater options in either a DV or MV model. What are the differences between the two ?

I didn't completely read the manuals, but one main difference that stood out is the DV model uses a separate, remote thermostat while the MV model appears to have a thermostat built into the heater's gas valve.

With the MV having slots at he top while the DV having slots on all the front, do they heat differently ?
