Goose Hunting in January

Hey all,

I am wondering what the hunting is like in mid to late January for honkers? I realize that it can fluctuate based on conditions. I am just trying to get a feel if I should throw a little trip together to break up the winter doldrums. I was also thinking about an outfitter or guide for the trip so if anyone has suggestions love to hear 'em

Dan,

I would suggest a snow goose trip down to Missouri beginning of March. Absolute great time, $7 license and shoot as many as you can.

What area of Illinois are you looking to hunt? There are geese here as long as the snow isn't to deep.

Central or South Zone.....were what I was thinking because I thought I would attempt to come down during the middle of the month.

Sorry, I'm in the North. I don't know of anyone in that area for hunting.
