Sandmannd
Good for you. Make sure you where some ice pics and a life jacket. At least that's what I would do this early. No fish is worth your life so have fun and be careful. Let us know how you do.
broman
Give us the GPS coordinates of where you're going so we know where to find the spot where you fall through. Just kidding, I'm jealous.

Beege
went to my local bait shop today and they said a few guys were going ice fishing today over here. Some back bays of a big resevoir are frozen enough to walk on. NUTS in my opinion. maybe next weekend i will go

ec30_06
I am not ready to put the boat away yet, but it looks like I better get the ice fishing stuff ready. It may be more useful than the boat in another week.

heat checker
Checked a small lake after school. ten feet away from landing was 3.5 inches. no life jacket or ice picks or i might of ventured out a little further
fishlakeman
We got plenty of ice on a few lakes/sloughs SW of Fargo. I'll be hitting the ice early tommorow morning. Found there to be 4-5 inches (judging by the crack). Hopefully will set up some tipups for pike, and slay some slab bluegills.
Scott M
Well, I was the first onto a little slough in south central MN. Marked a few fish, but didn't get any takers. Sure was good to be using the flasher, auger, stubby rods, and the whole 9 yards! Next time the fish will bite and I'll have the whole system down.Easily 3 inches, probably even more than that in spots and they'll be more by tomorrow. Snake River King
I went back out yesturday and today, and I had lots of lookers but no takers I thinks crappie minnows are the ticket for the perch and not the waxies. Also going to try some tipups for northerns
TiNK3R
Wow, it doesn't look like there's more than an inch out here! Don't let the snow make it look thicker than it is
