mrpike1973 Posted November 16, 2008 Share Posted November 16, 2008 hi i just bought a used marcum lx 1 fish finder i believe its older it does not have bottom lock just a depth scale knob a gain knob and a button that says ir on it i would put a picture in but i have no camera i got this for 50 dollers and just wondering if i got took. i tried it out on a dock tonight it locked on bottom and had a lot of orange and red some green colers not much for green. when i wiggled the cable with the transducer. i think it may hav cut out the guy i bought it from said it did it for him once in a while could this be replaced or is this nonfixable. i just had to jump at this because i could afford it and probably cant get a new one i figured i didnt lose to much of the rent money he he thanks for any help ive never used a flasher so i dont know anything about it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BIG DS Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 It sounds like you need a new transducer. About $70 should solve your problems. Even after that, you still got a ripping deal. The LX 1 was taken out of production about 3 years ago when the VX 1 was introduced. The LX 2 and the LX 3tc use the same transducer as the LX 1. Age wise I got no help.
