Revolution

Recommended Posts

The UPS man brought me my new rod case yesterday, the one I bought months ago sight unseen? As advertised, it holds six rods, three on each end, with dividers......I'm already packed. Did it snow today?

I actually saw snow last night north of Fargo, ND. The highway was starting to get a light dusting on it.

My Revolution should be here any day now!! Only problem is, I'm going to have to buy more rods to fill it grin.gif

I'll second that! My Revolution has been a great tool for carrying all of my goodies. Well not all, which is why I got a second one, now I can fit mine and my clients gear over my shoulder. They're a great tool and eliminate the tangled mess of the dreaded 5 gallon pail!

Yep, the Revolution is a sweet piece of equipment. All your gear is neatly organized and can be easily thrown over your shoulder or strapped on your back for quick and efficient transportation. You'll be amazed at how much gear can fit into one of these. Another piece of equipment designed to help make things easier on the ice.

Another option is the Premium Ice Rod Case...

Ice Rod Case

This case can hold up to three 34 inch rod and reel combos and also has extra storage room for added gear. Another way to keep things organized and protected when out on the ice. I really like the rod case for early ice when I'm runnin and gunnin for those slab crappies. Keeps things simple and lightweight when I only need a couple rods.

i got mine last week, the one I ordered last March. Looks great, can't wait to use it. 6 rod/reel combos and a spot on the side for all my little tackle boxes with ice fishing stuff in it. And it will fit in a 5 gallon pail for transport. nice

I love my Revolution and will be getting a Premium Rod Bag for those walk in trips with less gear. My Revolution is great because I can get everything but my LX-3 in it. I actually packed it so full last year that I had a hard time picking it up! shocked.gif One of the best buys I have made in a long time. One feature I really like is the Glow Fabric sewn into these bags. A little safety never hurt.

Can this baby get thermal tip-ups in it, I mean is it wide enough?

Northlander maybe you should lighten up on your loads this year especially without that Gallbladder laugh.gif

Cheffrey come over to my place today and check mine out. I may even give ya a deal on mine so I can by this years. I dont think the 10" round Frabils would fit. I just use a 5 gallon pail or shorter one.

I wonder how this would work mounted to the rack on an ATV. I'm interested in something like this as a semi-perm mount on the front of my Sportsman.

BigDaddy,

it should work nicely. I would set it up so it could be removed if you want to just in case you decide to do a little walking.

It's nice to have the bag close to you when fishing.

I have taken industrial velcro and had it sewed on heavy webbing material. I then riveted it on the front rack of our unit. For early and late ice I plan to have my Revolution mounted using the velcro straps. Takes about 2 seconds to remove it or to just loosen it up and get what I need from that bag.

Thats a good idea Jeff, I think that would work awesome! There are a lot options for using Velcro to attach the Revolution to ATV's, snowmobiles or even portable fishhouses. Looks like I'm going to have to play around with the portable now laugh.gif

I was messing around with my Revolution and the Premium Ice Rod Case and I took a few pictures to share...

I got 3 rods in the Premium Ice Rod Case if I broke down the reels and made the handles flat...

I really like the added length on the inside of the new Revolution so longer handle rods can fit. Really works out nice...

I also like the reflective tape added to all the Stone Legacy items. Thats a big plus. They really shine bright when needed.

Yep, I'm ready for ice fishing smile.gifgrin.gif

Bring on the ice!!

    • Anyone been out this past week? My bird hunting has been cut short this year so I am depending on others to keep me up to date. My wife has Breast Cancer and is starting radiation treatments soon, lasting a good part of October. I may be able to do some deer hunting depending how she is feeling. She has had surgery and the outlook is great and she feels great so that's the main thing. Good luck to all you hunters.
    • dont everyone post at once!!!!!!🤣😂 hummers bailed from itasca county, got a couple still around cold spring, seen them yesterday. but i havent seen any robins in a while. anyone else???????????????????????????????????
    • My routing was keep all the drive train zerks greased every few outings, change oil & filter yearly and front and rear diff by-yearly unless I did a lot of swamp running.  There are a bunch of helpful videos on the Tube.
    • I was out today putting up a deer stand and came across a lobster mushroom. I don't think I have seen any this late before. I will be enjoying the little gem tonight.
    • thanks for the write-up - and great pics!  hopefully these stories will keep me interested until i have my own west hunt.   good luck to all
    • Always enjoy the "out west" write ups!!!  I really appreciate you taking the time to share your journey!!
    • Well I wasn’t going to do any fluid changes untill next fall but it’s been a little more than a year and I just clicked 1k miles. About 30-40 hours since last oil change. I think I’m just going to do it. So last time I just took it to a dealer but it’s expensive, the machine is gone for at least a week and it’s a hassle to deal with dropping off and picking up. So I think I’m going to try it myself. I’ve changed oil on things many times before so this isn’t anything new. I’m going to get ahold of my dealer and see what I need and have them walk me through the steps. I want to change the oil, the front and rear gear case oil and I’d like to do the transmission fluid also. I also just saw Polaris has a deal now through the 1st of oct for $10 off an oil change kit. So I think I just need an oil change kit and a quart of gearcase oil? I also have a new spark plug I’ll through in and go through the machine like I always do every few months. I know @leech~~ had a magnum what did you always do for maintence?
    • enjoyed the story but this view is incredible  your lucky you get to hunt there
    • Not unlike most years.....
