lx-3 upgrade

any one have their lx-3 upgraded to the tc model. Happy with the results or not---was it worth the $$$$

Had mine done about three years ago and well worth it. Like the color definition much more.

thanks----talked to aqua-view today and they don't have all the gear on had to do the conversions yet-----they will e-mail me or give a call when all is up and running. Price to do the conversion isn't to bad either around $50.00

This upgrade to true-color is well worth the money IMO. Rather than the two-color system out there, which blends red and yellow to make green, the Marcum true-color three LED system provides sharper, more defined colors. You'll be happy with the change, and it's fast too! I had mine back in a week when I sent it in two years ago.

I agree that you will love it, I bought mine with true color already on it and the crisp colors on it are like night and day compared to the older ones.

I never bothered with the upgrade at the time nor will I likely in the future because I find it easier on my eyes in the dark although I also have an LX-5 that has the TC . My bride uses the LX-5 with TC more than I do and prefers the TC she says but I think it's just the fancy red case it comes in that makes her prefer it .LOL

You know, in my opinion, there could only be one color and I'd do just as well with it. think about it. do you really pay attention to the color. I work my jig and watch when the fish is getting close and wait for the hit. just because the color changes to red does not mean he is biting!

I think the 3 color system helps me tell what the bottom is like, how hard, how muddy, presence of weeds, etc. It's especially good at showing differences between holes.
