Spare Graphite Spool

Do you guys prefer to use the spare graphite spools that come extra with your reels when ice fishing?

Never thought of using the graphite spool - I just use the aluminum spool. Graphite spool may come in handy if you use your same reel for open & ice, and you use different line.

I usually spool up both spools with different line, depending on what I use the reel for. Maybe gamma or p-line on one spool and fireline crystal on the other spool. Or maybe 2 lb test on one spool and 5 lb test on the other spool. It's nice to have the extra options.
