Fishin Dan
I am a student of the construction electricity program at MCTC and we have to purchase all of our tools soon. We get a discount through a distributor on Greenlee, Ideal, and Klein tools. I was wondering if you guys had any preferences on any of these brands. One electrician i know said greenlee is garbage and Klein and Ideal are the way to go. Thanks for any thoughts.
AndyM
From what I've experienced, Klein tools are far better. Warranty and all. They hold up very good. Easy to find as well. A little more expensive but worth it in the long run.Andy
DinkADunk
for your most used - most valuable tools choose the best quality that you can. For your less used - less critical tools you can go with something more affordable (i.e HF, Craftsman, etc). I like the Klien tools I've used and that's what I look for in the few sparky tools I own. Farmboy1
As a electrician for a number of years, go Klein, you won't be disappointed.
sparcebag
Can't beat Klien!!
JohnMickish
As an electrician I have very few tools that are not Klien. I'm not a big fan of Ideal and anything less than that is just junk in my opinion. I make all of my money (and you will too) with my tools, my hands and my brain. Of the three there is one you have control over, why not get the tools that makes the other two's job easier.

slipperybob
My dad is a retired construction eletrician and he has a bunch of Klein tools. Me, I didn't know why, but now I know.
