would one want to mount it to the roof or set it in the window.

or just take the battery home at night.But im gonna let some of my old neighbors use the house which would be nice if they already had a battery charging. thanks

I would take battery home at night or use a generator during the day to charge batteries in the house.I had a 15 watt solar charger on roof of fish house and battery was still dead when I came back the next day and the sun would be out all day.I think you would need a good size solar charger to get batterys charged up to full capacity.
