Fall on East Mille Lacs

Im going up to the in-laws cabin on Oct. 17 on the East Side of Mille Lacs. As far as I know its pretty much sand over there with a few big rock bars. Has the trolling usually heated up by then and it the east side any good for muskies? How deep do you usually pull? Just looking for any pointers to try and land one of them big things! No intentions of keeping anything. Thanks

It is good on the east side of Mille Lacs in the fall. It is basically all rocks. If you go NE you can find sand by malmo, but other than that it is all rocks. You might want to check out the SE end of the lake. Hit all the major rock reefs and fish the edges. If you have a lake master chip you will be golden. Good luck!
