Twins in first...can they stay there?

Recommended Posts

I think they can. Would be good to be up a couple games on the Sox when the Yankees roll into town though. Should be a fun couple months!

I think it will be very difficult with the amount of road games we have at the end of the season!

Those darn Republican's ruin everything they touch!... grin

Something like 30 games against teams under .500. 9 against SEA and 3 against Oak. Mix in 3 left with Cle and KC.

They have a more favorable schedule left then Chi even if there are a lot on the road.

They are playing great ball. I do think they have a chance too. The Sox get Junior and they go 1-3 in KC, OUCH! And they give up 14 runs, Ozzie looks like he is going to have another melt down. grin

Ozzie has been having a melt down every game of late.

He is a terrible coach, got lucky when they won the series and now chicago with a roller coaster ride with more valleys than peaks.

To me, its a good thing they do not have a real coach. Because they could me doing what the cubbies are doing with a real coach.

I predict that the southsiders and going the way of their skipper who acts like the back end of a donkey. They've pretty much overachieved. The Twins have an easier schedule the rest of they but they've proved over time that they play down to competition like the Vikings so it will be an interesting race. My only hope is that the decision will come on the last day when I'm on my way home from up north as it did two years ago.

As much as I like the team, and I want to say they can stay in 1st for the long run, there is a lot of season left, almost 2 months and my brain is saying......

"Negative ghost rider. The pattern is full..."

Just too young IMO.

Sutre they have a chance. No one gave them a chance to this point abd look wear they are today. I'm a believer in the Twins.

Morneau goes 0-ffer in the RBI department for the series and they STILL win it. One more reason that this is one of those freaky seasons where the Twinkies continue to pull it out of their backsides.

I'm a believer. Especially with Mr. Wicked Slider back in the line up. It may not be as fast, but that thing still has some moves.

Just my opinion, I think Ozzie is good for baseball. These players get paid bukoo bucks to play and Oz calls them out when they are not performing. A mlb lineup is pretty much set up by teams GM. The manager writes a line up card that is given to him. There is not a lot of coaching in mlb that changes wins/losses. It's about how players are playing.

I like Ozzie too ... he is good for baseball.

As for the Twins -- I M afraid it all comes down to injuries and the kids.

If Justin or Joe goes down, I M guessing it is all over.

Who knows, maybe DY will figure out how to work the count and get a fastball. I hate to sound like Bert, but it all does come down to pitching -- if we can pitch we will win. If we can't we won;t.

    • A 12v camera with light available from Tomtop out of China $70 with 65 ft cable on reel. Its color HD resolution 1000tvl better than 720p used by Marcum & Aquavu HD units. (Except latest Marcum 1020p latest camera $650). Only drawback, it takes 20 to 30 days and $6 shiping. Link to Tomtop camera. They off a lot of camera options so you may want to da a bit of searching. https://m.tomtop.com/p-y3578-15.html?currency=USD&Warehouse=CN&aid=gplausyly&mid=10000018477&utm_source=SEM&utm_medium=Google Adwords&utm_campaign=TT_PLA_YLY&utm_content=2945&gclid=Cj0KCQiAxs3gBRDGARIsAO4tqq3wBcNnVRFIUf2QknDLs18FF6NrhJ9raJW9BAdaowvDD1gw08q_abwaAilBEALw_wcB Pic simple wire diagram. • Great advice and sounds like you have had some great times on the great Upper Red Lake!  The difference on Red from having a good day to a great day can be as much as moving 20 feet away!  From what you explain I would try to befriend a local or rent an ice auger and bring with the cold gear.  Rent your house like you are and then throw the auger in the car and explore or just pop holes in the area of your house so you can get out enjoy the uniqueness of fishing outside and your chances for landing more fish increases greatly opposed to hard house fishing.  Good Luck!!
    • I have been here a good 17 years and I think there is only about 1 guy left here that I have met in person. Back in the day I knew and met several members who were frequent posters on FM. I met quite a few of them through the BP Catfish League but I think most of those guys are long gone.
