Vegas Odd For The ICE Mille Lacs Contest

Recommended Posts

Guest

Shanny Deridan posts these odds on the World's Greatest Ice Angler Contest on Mille Lacs this weekend.

Can it be luck 3-1 Rumor has it he had a chance at Winni if not for a big snow drift. Look for can it be to stay clear of snow drifts and post a giant weight
Frozenminnow 4-1 Been practicing for this one since last week.
Kandi Nyberg 5-1 Defending champion ready to defend, last seen drilling holes near Hawksbill Point.
Matt Breuer 6-1 Big Pout, Big perch small walleye equal success on Mille Lacs.
Scott Steil- Posting big numbers earlier in the ice season... ability to produce in the clutch.
CGW 7-1 Known to jig up a specie in a single bound.
Basspastor 8-1 What more can we say...
Drowned Minnow 10-1 drowned minnows are a key baitfish on Mille Lacs
Bronzeback 10-1 Beaten favorite at Winni looks to improve.
Jason VE- Muskie man looking to land a fish too big to weigh

Mille Lacs is a world class fishery. We have knowledgable guides to help get anglers on fish! With weather forecasts calling for mid-twenties we are looking for a solid bite! Who's going to be The Worlds Greatest Ice Angler? Can Kandi repeat? Find out Saturday. As Yates would say "Be there or run the risk of being square".

Secret colors ya say? OK Paul are you holding out on us? Did you give Kandi the championship winning lure? A Custom Jigs and Spins Ratso? Rumor has it that Buzzsaw just bought every color and size of Ratso to better his chance on the Big Pond.

There is a sleeper in the bunch. He doesn't post much but spends every weekend on Mille Lacs, and I can attest from my own eyes that he catches fish, and big fish too. He goes by the screen name of InvadersMN, look out for him this weekend!

Good Fishin,
Matt Johnson

So, Sheridan's...I mean Deridan's smile.gif is setting spreads for the Mille Lacs event. 3-1! Now you have me running around trying to make this event! I had some important things which needed tending to, but fishing isn't important? Time to make some calls and see what I can do!

I'd have to bump Paul Waldowski into the mix!

Though he won't be competing for a trophy,
he litterally put a spank on the "Jumbolya's" on Winnnie, pulling out a secret color...that no one else had????

    • Anyone been out this past week? My bird hunting has been cut short this year so I am depending on others to keep me up to date. My wife has Breast Cancer and is starting radiation treatments soon, lasting a good part of October. I may be able to do some deer hunting depending how she is feeling. She has had surgery and the outlook is great and she feels great so that's the main thing. Good luck to all you hunters.
    • dont everyone post at once!!!!!!🤣😂 hummers bailed from itasca county, got a couple still around cold spring, seen them yesterday. but i havent seen any robins in a while. anyone else???????????????????????????????????
    • My routing was keep all the drive train zerks greased every few outings, change oil & filter yearly and front and rear diff by-yearly unless I did a lot of swamp running.  There are a bunch of helpful videos on the Tube.
    • I was out today putting up a deer stand and came across a lobster mushroom. I don't think I have seen any this late before. I will be enjoying the little gem tonight.
    • thanks for the write-up - and great pics!  hopefully these stories will keep me interested until i have my own west hunt.   good luck to all
    • Always enjoy the "out west" write ups!!!  I really appreciate you taking the time to share your journey!!
    • Well I wasn’t going to do any fluid changes untill next fall but it’s been a little more than a year and I just clicked 1k miles. About 30-40 hours since last oil change. I think I’m just going to do it. So last time I just took it to a dealer but it’s expensive, the machine is gone for at least a week and it’s a hassle to deal with dropping off and picking up. So I think I’m going to try it myself. I’ve changed oil on things many times before so this isn’t anything new. I’m going to get ahold of my dealer and see what I need and have them walk me through the steps. I want to change the oil, the front and rear gear case oil and I’d like to do the transmission fluid also. I also just saw Polaris has a deal now through the 1st of oct for $10 off an oil change kit. So I think I just need an oil change kit and a quart of gearcase oil? I also have a new spark plug I’ll through in and go through the machine like I always do every few months. I know @leech~~ had a magnum what did you always do for maintence?
    • enjoyed the story but this view is incredible  your lucky you get to hunt there
    • Not unlike most years.....
