New Boat need info on Outboard.

Hey all, I've just recently bought a bass boat from an auction and so far i've figured out all the electronics but i know nothing of the outboard. the Boat is a skeeter SD-125 with a Johnson 88HP. there is a serial number and model number but i've googled it and found nothing prolly looking at the wrong places. Isn't there a way to read serial number/model numbers like VIN numbers where you can tell some sort of info about the NUMBERS? I just really want to know if i need to mix oil in with the gasoline or not, and how much? plus anything else. thanks!

A Johnson 88 is a non oil-injected version of a johnson 90. So, you will need to mix oil / gas. 50:1, or one pint to 6 gallons.
