I'm guessing the premise of the design is to follow a thermocline while trolling or retrieving. Interesting thought. I'm not an experienced enough fisherman to know if that would be worth marketing or not. edit. After a quick glance at the patent, which was applied for in 1974, there's enough of a leap in technology to probably make it work, and look like a modern lure, but who would buy it?
