Suck! HA! Nothing better than watching Favre shoot his team in the foot yet again. Like i told the Cyber traitor last week. I'm glad the Pack one so i can root against them another week.

That dude better make this field goal.

Now we don't have to hear about Brett Farve anymore on how he's such a hero! Aside from last weekend's win over Seattle (which he really had nothing to do with) he has stunk it up his last several post-season games! I will give him some credit though, he is one helluva quarterback and hopefully Daunte can learn a thing or two. Now my Viking season has some closure to it, finally! When is the draft?

slabs-ia,

I echo that comment; yes, I am a Vikes fan; no, Dante does not have what it takes.

SERIOUSLY! It was THIS big!

Wow! Bitterness will get you no where Vikes fans. As long as Dante is your QB and "attitude boy" is your best receiver, you're in trouble....Did I mention that your coach is a backstabbing choker? By the way I am not a Pack fan.

"Hey how about dem vikings how did they do?"
They got screwed by the ref's and had a little bad luck, nothing new there.

For all you Farve worshippers, sure the guy deserves to be in the hall of fame, but he has not been in his prime for a number of years. As for Daunte he's not even there yet, but he is every bit as good if not better than McNabb and Favre at this point. People who don't see that, don't know football.

I'm a Vikes fan all the way and I hear what you're saying, but its taken Tice 2 yrs to create a defense that Denny Green largely ignored for too long.

Farve hasn't been the same since he stopped popping the pills.

Tice, Daunte, Farve....they are all the same to me.....Inconsistant.

Green Bay WI AP~ Breaking news.
"Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Farve returned home this evening from a heartbreaking loss to the Eagles. Farve avoided reporters and immediately went directly to his home where he was unable to gain access to his home. Later it was discovered that someone had painted a goal line on his front lawn"

Now that the "Border Battle is over, lets go fishing!
As for the Packers? I am a Bears and was a Jim McMahon fan and what the Fudge did to him makes me glad Im from Minn. You can say it was 1 person that did it but the entire coaching staff should have stopped it before it went too far and I dont forget. So when the crackers loose its bitter sweet laughter to me.

The Vikes start out 6 and 0 and ONLY need to win 4 out of thier last 10 games to win the division and the refs screwed em out of the division title ???? GOOD ONE ! LMAO

Thanks Pack for another great season !

Packer fans don't fall off the bandwagon...

They believe in their team (unlike Viking fans). They don't complain about their team (unlike Viking fans). They don't complain about their quarterbacks (unlike Viking fans). They don't complain about their coaches (unlike Viking fans). They don't complain about their defense (unlike Viking fans). They don't complain about the weather (unlike Viking fans, if they had an open air stadium!)

Cisco..."the sound you hear" is the echo of Viking fans continuing to fall off your wagon, which hit a speedbump in Tempe, AZ, ma'boy! See you next year, (in the rear view mirror of the NFC North Division). --Signed, a Detroit Lions fan wink.gif
Yes...you will end up behind the Lions and Bears (and Randy Moss has done give up on the Vikes... and I love it!) grin.gif

Lifelong Vikes fan here, but I do have an appreciation for the way Favre plays. Gets a little sickening listening to the broadcasters gush about him, but he is a tough SOB. Sunday comes and you know, come hell or high water, he is going to have his *** on the field! Like someone said earlier, guys like Favre are what football is about. Refreshing to know there are still some players like that left in the National "go ahead and dance like you saved the world even if you are a league minimum special teamer who didn't even make the tackle on a kickoff" Football League.

If the Vikes had kicked the field goal in their last game instead of going for the TD the Pack wouldn't even have been in the playoffs. If the Pack had kicked the field goal instead of going for the TD they would be playing next week. The Pack is right where they should have been last week, at home.

    • I would get a dlb ladder stand and sit with my kid as much as I could.  Don't let the dude bully you if you have the right to be there as well.  She may not know the age of this person if he had his kid go down there and get permission and he is really doing the hunting?
    • He has permission from the landowner, let him hunt. If the 50 year old does anything to affect his hunt that is "hunter harassment" and he should be charged.
    • Obviously the guy has "passion" for "his" hunting spot.  I would try to meet him face to face with your son and see if you couldn't reasonably discuss it and come to an agreement.  Possibly do it at the landowners home if you want to put him in his place.  This of course first goes with how you feel this gentleman would be towards a talk.  After all it is not his land and he can't just bully his way around.  Now if you feel he is psychotic then don't bother.  I have a chunk of land that I can't hunt (even though I have permission and all the rights to hunt it) because the neighbor is crazy enough that he will possibly hunt me and I don't need that feeling of being hunted.  Hope you can work things out!  People get funny when it comes to hunting land especially when they know there is a bigger deer in the area.
    • Can anyone suggest a good place in the North Metro to get a Honda EU2000 tuned up? Been running problem free for 6 years so I figure it's time.   Thanks in advance for the help.
    • Tough deal on this one.    You've got to decide how much fight you want to put into this.  There are also a lot of life lessons here to teach your son just depends on which one you want to focus on.    In most circumstances I would start out by going to the landowner and explaining the issues and see if you can get it resolved.  However, with it being an 85 year old woman you'll have to decide if you want to drag her into it. I'd probably at least inform her of the issue so that she's aware of what is happening on her property and what type of person is out there.  She should at least know that much as the landowner  If she wants to make it right then so be it but I wouldn't push her on it.  Just leave it as a heads up and let her know your son will move on as to not cause trouble if she doesn't seem like she's got it in her to straighten things out.
    • Honestly, I would probably do what you did and tell my kid he did everything right, but to move on. This is assuming you didn't get the impression the guy was going to change his mind when you spoke to him.   Unless you know her, the last thing the landowner probably wants to do is get involved in the dispute. And I'm sure you don't want your kid out there alone, not knowing if the older guy will confront him or how unreasonable he could be if he does.
    • Kind of why I want to work with him rather than just [PoorWordUsage] him off.
    • Sounds like a good neighbor to get to know if he's going to be around all the time.
    • My 15 year old son knocked on a neighbors door about 1/2 mile from our house. She is 85 and owns around 120 acres.  He's been watching 2 nice bucks all summer long.  She gave him permission and said one other neighborhood kid is hunting it also but lots of land shouldn't be an issue.  He went and hung a stand a few weeks ago. Its the property where he shot the doe off in the previous thread.  Well the neighborhood kid turned into be a 50 yr old guy down the road.  He showed up at our house last evening, I wasn't home and had a discussion with my wife about how my son shouldn't be out there, has no right to be hunting there and didn't discuss it with him.   If he shoots one of the bucks out there, there will be problems.  I obviously called the gentleman last night and expressed my distaste for his attitude and his discussion with my wife when she was alone.  I also stated we are talking about a 15 yr old kid and I'm proud of the fact he's able to go around knock on doors, ask for permission, share his ability with landowners and get permission all on his own.  I talked with my son about it, and told him it would probably be best to not hunt over there and he needs to go take the stand down and move on.  He was heartbroken, since he got the permission on his own, put his stand up, cut shooting lanes.  I get someone being protective over a spot, I tried to explain to the gentleman that we are talking about a kid.  He has the permission to be there. How would you guys handle it.
    • I will get it surveyed at some point, just not a high priority just yet. I'll just post the side along the road for now and maybe the east side. He lives there year round and told me he has never seen anyone or heard shots on the 30 south of me and the 40 north of me. When I walked the property, I found 3 stands, all 3 belonged to the guy I have been talking to. The one he uses, an old ladder stand he is taking down and an old permanent that is rotted out.
