koonie
I've seen several pairs of these doves off and on since March and was wondering if anyone else has been seeing them in Minnesota. If so, how many and how often. Apparently their range is expanding. Just wondering how common they are becoming in Minnesota. My sister has been seeing them for a couple of years but this is the first year I've seen them.
Steve Foss
Koonie, 20 years ago it was a rare event to see a Eurasian collared dove in Minnesota. Now it's happening with increasing frequency. Mostly in farm country, because particularly in winter they seem to hang out near grain elevators for the obvious reasons.
koonie
The local elevator is where I first saw them.
Paul
I have had a pair of Doves living my my neigbors bushes and shrubs for the better part of the spring. THey sure do deplete my feeders. THey are almost worst than the gackles.
