My girlfriend and I will be attending this weekend. She kicks my butt whenever we go fishing(I'm always untangling her line smile.gif). This weekend will probably be no different. I have a 6-7 hour drive after work Friday, so it'll be a looong night and day. I would've liked to have gotten there a day earlier to do a little fishing and scouting around. Oh well, will have to wing it.....Fishing, fun, food, trophys, and a chance at some great prizes......Count me in!!!

I'll be there. Unfortunately, the wife isn't interested in ice fishing, so I'm flyin' solo. I do hope to hook up with some of the pro staff and pick up a few tips and hints, though.

See you all there.

That sounds great! Cold front makeing ice to be followed by a warm up, the fish should be on the bite by Saturday with that weather scenario. Temps in the 20s is very tolerable even for the not so "hardcore" fisherman. It sounds as though the bite on Winni has been doing real well as of late. Get those weigh in scales ready, get the grills going! Make room in the truck to possibly bring home some great prizes.....Here we come!!! grin.gif PS: It sounds like there'll be a lot of women and kids comeing along. So guys, this may be your chance to get the lady involved with your fishing hobby. Women like to see other women around, and as far as introducing them to ice fishing...No where better than Winni! Lots of action, few lulls in activity, and a social affair, she'll be begging you..."Hey honey, Turn that game off and let's go fishing!"...Well, we can wish for that at least. smile.gif

Rick:
Good job on the get together and the turn out, is there anything that anyone can bring as far as food condements etc? I know that this is taking off fast (ever watch the shuttle taking off??) and we all may need to kick in and help, Any ideas would help, I work for ServiceMaster of the North in Duluth and I will donate enough trash bags for the event (1 case of 45 gal trash bags)The rest goes to Denny's. Any food ideas? Pasta salads can feed many and are cheap to make so are beans and
(SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE MOYAKA!!) I cant wait ..
Let Rick know what you can bring to help, (remember Schwiegert hot dogs)
and think of the entry fee as your way of keeping you in touch with the fishing world,
and possibly winning some great prizes.

Just so most of you know.

Most of the Pro Staff (especially those that know Winnie well) are going to be there to help out those who are looking for likely fish holding spots and/or would like some help with technique.

While we are going to crown the "World's Greatest Ice Angler" the ICE Series is mainly about introducing more people, families, women, and kids to the fun aspects of being on the Leading Edge of ice fishing.

Looks like there is going to be a nice group of FMers.

Quite a few have already registered online for the event today at $10.

Remember,
you need to be registered by 3 PM Thursday or it's $15 at Denny's the day of the event.

This is a very good deal folks. We will have one of the TOP Winnie Ice fishing guides out there and available to help put you on fish.

Also looks like Denny's is going to offer a fish fry for us when we come off the lake. They'll have details on this when you come into their resort.

Click the link below and go to the ICE Series links if you're looking to add some spice and fun to your winter. Bring friends, family and kids(under 16 FREE).
