WOW! I need more...I only have 2: a 5' ultralight (which I love for pannies!), and a 6' medium action. I really want to upgrade my medium action rod to something better in quality. Both spinning combos.

SO, if anyone wants to get rid of their nicer 6' medium action rod and spinning reel combos...let me know! smile

I see alot of ST Croix and Fenwick. Guys not using g-loomis, pfluger or Falcon?

Given St Croix and Fenwick are very good rods, don't get me wrong! I am just surprised, and very cool to see what your all using.

I am not sure of the exact number, I have over 20 rods, I use most of them every year. I fish for a lot of different types of fish, panfish to muskie, so they all serve there function. If you include ice rods, I have many more.

There is nothing better then catching that first nice fish on a new rod.

Bunt2k as for your rod Question. Generally of course Loomis are the tops with the low end at $125. This tends to keep most anglers away, when you can for instance get a couple of another brand for just 1 Loomis. Heck, the Shimano Clarus is a great rod at $49-59. Falcon, they don't have a whole lot of Recognition in the northern states yet really or at least they are just catching on. And I thought I saw pflueger, well the fact there is there don't have many rods in the Pflueger line, Myself I chose Allstars as they are a better rod and still be the same generally company (shakespeare)

Not enough is the answer. I started building my own, and it's becoming an expensive addiction. I've built 4 for myself, and 3 more for gifts. I anticipate at least a couple more this summer.

6'6" ML St. Croix SCV custom spinning

7' M St. Croix SCV custom spinning

6'6" M Gander Mt. Guide IM7

6' M Gander Mt. Guide IM7

7' MH Galyans IM8 Baitcasting

6' L Bass Pro Spiral graphite spinning

4'6" UL G Loomis Premier spinning - An oldie but goodie

8'6" 4wt St. Croix SCV custom fly

9' 8wt St. Croix SCIV custom fly (which is currently broken and awaiting a new blank to build again)

Sadly, my dollars spent to hours fished has been WAY too low!

2 fly rods

2 8' line counter trolling rods

2 7' leadcoring rods

2 6' bobber rods

2 6' jig/rig rods

2 7' jig/rig rods

These are all cheap rods. I recently discovered that higher end rods are the way to go for jigging and riggin so I picked up a 6' M fenwick HMX and a 6.5 ML cabelas HML and I really like the sensitivity of both.

Oh I fogot to mention the ice rods. 6 assorted ice rods, 2 tip ups and 4 rattle reels.

In other words TOO many!
