Have a good one, guys. Rick, thanks for a great HSOforum. I,m making it an early night. I,m hitting the lake tomorrow with a couple of little boys whose dad doesn't seem to have the time for them. I figure one tip-up flag and they will be drawn to the DARK SIDE. Good fishing.

Hey Cyb!.....Happy New Year to you too man!.....It's been at least a couple years since we dipped lines together on Black Bay. I took a bunch of students from Minnetonka High there last year for a mini-expedition. They were in an outdoors class and the teacher who is a friend asked me to take them ice fishing. What a hoot! It was the first time I had been back since you, Me and Iceboy fished it. Been back there lately?......T

Happy New Years Cyberfish (and all)

Sounds like we will need to get one of those government satelites to track basspastor to find this secret hole. Hook the GPS to his vehicle to track him or something.

Cyberfish, did you do well today? Find any of those large crappies or did basspaster get a "new ruler" for Christmas. Heard Santa had some defective ones that got out this year.

Hey Tbone, nope I have not gone back to Black lake, so many lakes, so little time. Glad you had a good time!

Walleyehawk, yeah I shoulda known better, Bassputz lead me on! He wouldn't know a 14 inch crappie if it bit him. Nice of him to let me use his PC to post this though, hehe

Cyberfish--And that from the man that was attacked and bit by the sunfish. smile.gif

When he is sleeping, I would draw a sucker or other roughfish on his icehouse. Knowing Basspastor a little though, I think putting a walleye on there would be the ultimate revenge.

    • Odd, looks like home made brackets on the ends?  May be they had them for some kind of tarp outside?
    • Just picked up a 1978 Bethany compact 560. Got it set up but I can't figure out what these 2 adjustable poles are for.  Anyone know?
    • friend good luck to you and your wife!!!!   I do know where you are at....  my prayers to ya............
    • Anyone been out this past week? My bird hunting has been cut short this year so I am depending on others to keep me up to date. My wife has Breast Cancer and is starting radiation treatments soon, lasting a good part of October. I may be able to do some deer hunting depending how she is feeling. She has had surgery and the outlook is great and she feels great so that's the main thing. Good luck to all you hunters.
    • dont everyone post at once!!!!!!🤣😂 hummers bailed from itasca county, got a couple still around cold spring, seen them yesterday. but i havent seen any robins in a while. anyone else???????????????????????????????????
    • My routing was keep all the drive train zerks greased every few outings, change oil & filter yearly and front and rear diff by-yearly unless I did a lot of swamp running.  There are a bunch of helpful videos on the Tube.
    • I was out today putting up a deer stand and came across a lobster mushroom. I don't think I have seen any this late before. I will be enjoying the little gem tonight.
    • thanks for the write-up - and great pics!  hopefully these stories will keep me interested until i have my own west hunt.   good luck to all
    • Always enjoy the "out west" write ups!!!  I really appreciate you taking the time to share your journey!!
    • Well I wasn’t going to do any fluid changes untill next fall but it’s been a little more than a year and I just clicked 1k miles. About 30-40 hours since last oil change. I think I’m just going to do it. So last time I just took it to a dealer but it’s expensive, the machine is gone for at least a week and it’s a hassle to deal with dropping off and picking up. So I think I’m going to try it myself. I’ve changed oil on things many times before so this isn’t anything new. I’m going to get ahold of my dealer and see what I need and have them walk me through the steps. I want to change the oil, the front and rear gear case oil and I’d like to do the transmission fluid also. I also just saw Polaris has a deal now through the 1st of oct for $10 off an oil change kit. So I think I just need an oil change kit and a quart of gearcase oil? I also have a new spark plug I’ll through in and go through the machine like I always do every few months. I know @leech~~ had a magnum what did you always do for maintence?
