Lake: Wright

Dates: 7/11/08-7/16/08

Group: Holte

Report: Despite 4 days of bad weather and mayfly hatch, we had a great trip. 75-100 walleyes per person on Strout. Several high 30 inch pike with alot of 40 inch class follows or lost at the boat. Portages no problem. Only needed to get out of the boats on rapid area to Strout. Cabin, boats, motors, gear....all in great working shape. Used very little live bait. Will most likely be back next year again.

Lake: Fishtrap

Dates: 7/13/08-7/20/08

Group: Blackowiak

Report: Fabulous trip! Best small mouth action we have ever experienced. Several 17 inch bass with largest near 18 inches. Many 16 inch bass, too many of those to count. Short portage lake was also productive. Many "doubles" with good mix of small mouth and walleyes. We caught plenty of walleyes to eat on Fishtrap and the portage lake. Live bait was best but artificials worked also. Pike was alittls now but we managed to catch several, largest 32 inches.

Group: Ziegler

Report: Great accomodations, fantastic fishing. Weather was good 60% of the time, and GREAT 30% of the time, hardley any rain all week. This was the best fishing trip Ive taken in 30 years of trips. Walleye in 8 to 10 foot of water on the drop offs. Rocky bottoms produced the most fish. Northerns were in the shallows with weeds and also on the drop offs. Sorry, no fish numbers or fish count to give.....was to busy catching and releasing!!!
