Evinrude E tech parts will still be supported for some time according to the article I read in last weeks Outdoor News. Can’t remember how many years but I’m sure it’s at least 10.
I started liking them just this summer. Doesn’t matter I guess though since like so many others I didn’t buy one.
I have an Evinrude E tech that’s a great runner but I went to pick up some Carbon guard and had a chance to talk to my mechanic and he said I might want to look at a different motor at some point as parts will be harder to find.
Any other Etech owners here? This isn’t good news
Heard about a comet visiting our night skies and decided to take a shot at it. Set the alarm for 3:00 am (obscene) got gas and headed out to some high ground thinking it wouldn't be up yet. I read it was supposed to rise about an hour before sunrise. It was already fairly high in the sky. Got a few shots before the sun bleached it out. I am looking forward to another clear night to give it another go. I have spots with better foreground ideas. The way our society behaves these days, I liked the "Keep Out" sign.
Yeah I've gone back and forth and have decided I really want to try the direct vent this time. I've been playing with this SketchUp a little bit. Now I'm thinking since my tanks are on the passenger side I'll think about something like this:
My biggest concern here is the door opening towards the vent exhaust. ??
He doesn’t normally do cork either but wanted to for these. He goes different directions for different things and like most carvers has his trademark lines. Not as detailed as yours but fun to hunt over nonetheless.
My fave that he’s done for me:
This is still your layout correct?
First off... Are you really sure that you want to go direct vent instead of fan force? Don't get me wrong, they are nice for simplicity and electrical usage - but are no comparison in comfort (and before someone chimes in, yes - I have one of each in both my house ). If you went w/ a 20k ducted fan forced midway under your sidebunk you could run your ducts like this...
Otherwise if you are completely set on putting in a direct vent, I would suggest moving it to the passenger side "V" and putting your door in the side just behind the "V".
