PerchJerker
Does anyone use a baitcast reel for casting cranks for walleyes? Any recommendations for a casting reel that's well suited for this?I pretty much just use spinning gear when throwing walleye cranks, because they're so small and lightweight. But I think I might add a casting reel this year (that would also get used a little for bass and pike) and am looking for advice or suggestions. Matt C
I use a Pflueger Criterion rod and reel as my favorite baitcaster setup. Its an IM8 6'6" Medium rod with 12lb fireline crystal on it.Works great for tossing husky [PoorWordUsage] and shad raps into the shallows and weed edges.I have also trolled with it and been able to throw bigger baits as well for pike and bass. I have not had any backlash issues.I paid under 100 bucks for it all.

polarsusd81
Dave, with the rebate and low price All American has, you can't really beat the new Curados from Shimano. They have always been and always will be a great reel. You know enough about all the other equipment to know what you want, but that is what I am using this year. It really can't be beat for the price through them.
