Wierd DAIWA Reels

I have a friend that just gave me a pair of older Daiwa reels to use for catfishing. They are still in the original boxes and in new condition but looked old enough that I thought I should check on their value before using.

I found no information on them anywhere......

Let me know if anyone has some info on these two spinning reels..

Old, never been used, and still in box...I'd keep it for antique collection. I wouldn't use it.

You can pick up a couple of Shakespeare Alpa XT's spinning reels for catfishing.

I believe I still have one or two of these stashed away. Back in the early to mid eighties we use them on Lake michigan trolling for salmon and trout. They were o.k. reels but it seemed that the gears would freeze up or just fall apart.
