I have a set of irons sw, pw-3 and I dont know what brand they are. On the back of the club it says tour model. Maybe they are just tour model? I am going to sell them cause they are still in pretty good shape but I dont know what to sell them as.

I'm reasonably certain the Tour Model clubs you have were sold as components by Golfsmith and have since been replaced by the Golfsmith XPC brand (I think). I would guess they're probably 10 yrs old, or older and cost about $3.00 for the head. They're typically bought by beginners or high handicappers.

Here's a breakdown of what they would cost, less the labor to assemble:

9 heads @ $3.00 (approx) $27.00

9 steel shafts @ $5.00 (approx of 10 years ago price) $45.00

9 Grips @ #3.00 (approx of 10 years ago price) $27.00

Misc: tape, glue, ferules (if they have them) $5.00

Total investment $104.00 new

They are a great club for beginners or someone who just doesn't want to spend a lot of money for a set of clubs. I guess the thing to remember is all those bad shots we hit aren't the fault of the clubs. ;\)

Sounds like you did it right, started with a modest priced set, found out you like this silly game and moved into a real nice set of irons. I believe those titleist 735's have the True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts which are the number one shaft on the pro tour. The only problem now is you can't blame your clubs for those mis-hits. grin.gif

Yea i made the switch when i started working at a golf course and our head pro decided he didnt want them anymore after one round and decided to sell them to me for $300. They are amazing clubs but yea i for sure cant blame my clubs since they are $900 irons haha
