Washer wants to walk!!

I have a 4 year old front loader that likes to walk its way across the room. It is level but I think because it sits between the floor joists its causing the floor to flex when it starts to spin also a linoleum floor? PS my basement is finished so I cant get to the ceiling to add any reinforcment. I was thinking of bolting some angle iron to the floor and attempt to "box" it in. Am I asking for problems?

First off, you could have a broken shock on the washer, I would check that first, remove the lower plate and take a look. Second, it is probably your floor is not solid enough, to check this take a glass of water and set it 5 or so inches from the washer and run it thru a cycle if the water shakes as well, then you have a floor problem. The best fix for this would be to reinforce the floor joists, but it you can't get to them, you can take a 3/4 sheet of good plywood and put it under the washer and screw it into place, that will help with making it more solid. I have also had some good success with a product avail at your local appliance parts dist. company call shake a way pads, they are a rubber and solid plastic layer system that do a good job. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck.
