Jig stick
I'm thinking of buying the shappell Rover. Does anybody use one? And what do you think of it?
markcl
I have a shappell Rover.I don,t like top closed, but up as wind brake is good, one bungee cord across middle keeps cover from flopping and holds the auger on.the auger sits nice with engine on front shelf, gloves and maps sit nice on shelf. Guest
Ditto to Noodle--Get a cover for the Otter and you don't have to shovel snow out of your gear each time you set-up--the 4-wheeler kicks everything into the sled as you tow...

Guest
Fish Trap Voyager, Huge sled, and it's still not big enough for all the gear we bring along.
Guest
Fish Trap Voyager. Tons of room, big sled, and comfortable.
ifalls_archer
Depends on your needs, however, my Clam 1060 has been everything I hoped it would be. My two boys and I stay dry, warm, and have plenty of room. I drive everywhere I fish, so pulling it is not a problem. Brent

Northlander
I have a Frabil speed shack XL and if you arent going to pull it then they are ruggid and set up in less than 1 minute in any wind. Im 6'6'' and I can stand up and stretch easily. They are black so they use the sun to your advantage. If you are pulling either by hand or sled/atv I would pay the $ and get whatever Otter fits your neads. Get the runners too, they add years to the sled life, especially if you pull it with a motorized vehicle.
Guest
I use a Fish Trap Pro if I'm alone. If I go with a friend I use a Shappell 3000DX. I pull both by hand But the Fish Trap pulls a little hard in deep snow.
Slowfinger
I'll second Northlander. Frabil XL is the way to go. We'll butt two of them up together and open the doors to make a larger shack. This year, we may even try three...
