Wade Joseph
Well, the wind storm we had a while back blew off the pre-existing rolled roofing the previous owner had installed on the gararge roof. INS Co screwed me with some song and dance by the adjuster that it had to be "depreciated for age" and they were "only paying to replace the rolled roofing" then they issued me a check for 1000 bucks. So I had to re-roof myself. Never done if before, but this is the final product. One weekend, 2 extremely sore knees and a aching back, but its got shingles now. Down2Earth
Nice job Wade. Just goes to show you don't need to be a professional if you're willing to take the time to learn and think things through.

Down2Earth
Might have to be a gorilla for shingles. Lugging those things up the ladder takes a little more muscle. Nothing like a 90 Degree day, a couple buddies, rolling paper and slinging shingles. Then a cold beverage.

sparcebag
But you cheated and used a nailer!
Wade Joseph
That nailer had NO part whatsoever in carrying those 33 bundles of shingles up on the roof!
Down2Earth
Nothing like the feeling of a job well done by a DIY'er. I remember my first time dodging the professionals. 16 years old and an 89 ford ranger. Replaced the clutch disks by myself with a set of craftsman tools and I believe a chiltons guide. McGurk
That must have been one dilly of a project; you even went through a grill! Looks good, Wade.
Eric Wettschreck
It's an awesome feeling when a guy can step back, tip a cold one, and admire his work. I have nothing against the pro's out there as we all have to make a living somehow, but if I hired out everything I've done to my house there is no way I could have afforded it. Shingles up the ladder, I know the feeling well. (Advil works wonders for back pain) Good work, Wade. Anchors aweigh, shipmate.
