Best Metro Early Ice Walleyes?

Anybody willing to offer some advice on a good spot in the Cities (especially in SW area)to find first ice walleyes? Not looking for size, just some degree of certainity in actually finding some.

I had an absolutely horrible time last winter on 'eyes and managed to catch 0 of them, despite doing well on northerns and bass. I fished evenings on Minnetonka, Harriet, O'Dowd, even went to Alexandria and only caught perch on Reno and Miltona. (Minnetonka was especially painful as I would many times spend the day locating what looked like great structure, and drilling many, many holes in every sort of depth and trying everything and not getting a single bite. I vowed not to fish there this winter!!)

try posting this on the Metro Area Lakes/Rivers fourm. There's allready some talk on where people are going to hit early this season once the ice becomes safe.
