Hello, i need to plumb/replace a outdoor faucet on the exterior of the house, question is is it ok to use the plumbing compression fittings instead of using a solder joint?? thanks for any help!

I am sure you could, but pulling on it and hooking up a hose would I think make it loose over time. I would rather be safe then sorry, when you have to fix it. Solder it...

outdoor faucet or a silcock? what type of compresion fitting is it? menardos special? i would say solder it.very simply.

Soldering is best! It seems hard, but it is easy and it holds forever. Any other comp. fitting will fail over time.
