New dock stain and treatment?

New cedar dock. Would like to treat it so color will stay. Is there a deck or dock stain that will keep dock nice WITHOUT making it slippery as a Texas politician? I'd really like to keep if from going ugly grey.

Thompsons will work and Behr makes a good product also but dont believe their that claims it will last 5 years though ..its more like every 3 years or so depending on usage ,,,My wife keeps threathening to tear up our cedar and get etrex
