OK on the pectoral Todd but we know Tuzzy and you are the ones that do the fondling wink.gif Had a great birthday yesterday, got cash gift cards and concert tickets to Stevie Nicks at the casino on the 26th. What stunk is I had to umpire 4 games last night.

Dark Cloud/Tank how was the Del trip?

Timmy - we had a nice weekend down the cabin. Friday I went fly fishing and caught a beutifull wild rainbow that was 18 inches and a few smaller browns...

Sat morning dad and I got into a dozen eyes and a few shad. Did some fly fishing in the afternoon and drew a blank...

Ate, drank, and relaxed otherwise....

Heres a before and after of the paint job...

Nice job on the camp paint job. Looks like a new awning on there too ooo.gif I used to fish in Lordsville years ago and was wondering if you're anywhere near that? I was out for some shorefishing this weekend and did great on the walleyes. Got my 5 fish limit both Saturday and Sunday evening in a matter of two hours and a few small ones too. The walleye bite is absolutely on FIRE right now in just about every lake around here ooo.gif Timmy, we need to make a trip to that one lake we fished last fall again. The bite is INSANE there right now wink.gif I'll call you soon and maybe we can plan something with Robb when we come down again!!!!!!!

Insurance guy - It's a small world! If you are standing on the Lordsville bridge looking down river, our place is the first one on the right. We have about 10 acres there with 500ft of river frontage. It looks a bit diff now as a tornado wiped out all our trees between the cabin and the river. Yep thats a new awning. We were gonna build a front covered patio but taxes go up enough without additions...

Heres a pict of a bambi and mom in our yard... the bridge is in the backround...

Insurance Guy - Yes John will have to do that wink.gif

Talked to Tuzzy and it's looking like will spend a few hours out in the boat on the Big O Saturday morning, Todd if your interested will see you out there. Tuzzy has been trying to make something similar for us to try so we will see how these prototypes work out. wink.gif We should be on the water by 6:15 a.m. and I can fish till noon and then I have a fast-pitch game to umpire at 2 p.m. in Rome.

Dark CLoud - Hey bud I'll give ya a holler in the morning. Getting ready for a battle of first place teams tonight on the diamond If we win this week and next week will have an automatic bye in the end of year tournament, yeah baby!

Well, I got on Silver yesterday around 6pm, and on my second cast I got this slob...

DSC02018.jpg

A few buddies of mine have been seeing the eyes stacked right on the weed edge in 14-16 FOW when the lake is calm. They couldn't get them to go, and yesterday was the first day in the last few that the wind kicked up. I decided the hit the wind-blown weed edge, and apply a FRECHING technique to them. 2 lb Fireline Crystal on an ultralight rod rigged with an 1/8 jig with a small leech.....the bite was light, but we got 2 in that area in the hour that we fished it. Lost a few others. (We left because we had to go and meet some other buddies at a different area of the lake.) We got some pike and perch, also.

I'll be getting out again tomorrow with the Wizard somewhere!!

Thats a nice eye john I know what you mean when you say there timid when its calm.I some times throw small jigs I use for crappie fishing, some times it produces very well if you can get them to look at it and follow it they usally take a wack at it.

Johnny is there a pic with your post?

Talked to Hutch this morning and bucktails are on the way. I like the way he runs it, if you like what you see when they arrive send him a check. Eagle Claw 570 hooks 2/0 perfect wink.gif Next Sunday looks like a good day for testing, ordered some perch colored ones too...

Timmy - heres a pict of the "replicas" I just made. Without the same head and just going by a pict its hard. I wonder if Hutch will send unpainted heads?

The 2/0 hooks are more for tipping with minnows. I prefer a #1 on jigs for crawlers...

Im home watching golf, give me a call...

Well guys the report is late but that's only because the fishing was terrible. Tuzzy and I went out Saturday and couldn't scratch a strike. Todd had one nice eye and lost him on the way to the boat. Friday Todd spent 5 hours in the boat and not one eye. That's fishing...

Very nice work on the jigs Mr. Dark Cloud. That stretch of the Deleware is beautiful and we used to fish mostly for shad down there and trout sometimes too.

Timmy, I fished with my dad in my Lund on Saturday afternoon from 1pm til 7pm and we did pretty good. We ended up with 6 keeper walleyes and about 15 throwbacks for the afternoon. No biggies but between 16" and 18". All caught precision backtrolling the weedlines in about 18 to 20ft of water right where they should be wink.gif The DEC was out there checking licenses and safety equipment and the launch was pretty busy being such a nice day and the first day of bass season.

Todd - talked to USMC Steve Greving he's bringing the 18' Alaskan Lund if you want to hook up with him Saturday morning I would appreciate it. I gave him your cell phone number, great guy plus you can get a solid picture of that Alaskan if you know what I mean wink.gif He's bringing a guy but you can fish four out of his boat easy. See you tonight Todd for hair jig delivery. I like what I see out of these 1/4 oz jigs that Hutch sent so I will wait and see how you guys fair on the lake and then I'll order more of the same in 5/16ths's and I'll inquire about just the heads to while I'm at it.

Dark Cloud - Did Hutch get back with you? Tuzzy is interested in heads too.

Todd - Tuzzy will be on the Big O Saturday too, I'll give you his cell so you guys can hook up Saturday.

I have Tyler's graduation Saturday, neighbors party after ward and Sunday I have 3 games late to work. Was home yesterday and I have a viscious head cold I'm trying to kick, light schedule next week for umpiring which is fine by me I can use the break after working 46 games for the month of Jun. crazy.gif

Had my best big fish day of the season so far on Sunday afternoon. My father couldn't make it so I was on a solo mission and ended up backtrolling my way to an easy limit with including a total walleye score of 11 nice ones from 16" to 21" and I lost 3 other good ones at the boat from noon til 3pm. I started at 10:30 and it took me an hour and a half to dial in the location and color and it was all about the color that day plus a certain deep 500 yard stretch of weededge and some boulders thrown in. Same exact spot we pounded them on a week ago. They didn't want anything but black and orange and once I figured that out it was fun, fun, fun grin.gif

Did a canoe overnighter with my cousins this weekend on the delaware. River level was good but the water was still real murky from last weeks flooding in the catskills. We did about 30 walleyes for the two days plus some chubs, smallies, and one nice striper. Everyone survived 4 cases and no tipped canoes. Day one the fish got the knife before I thought of the camera then it got wet so I put it away but did get a few scenery shots....

Thanks Todd. I have most of my luck precision trolling very specific weededges which is producing good numbers of walleyes every time out. Some of our best outings this season have been close to 40 walleyes in a full afternoon of fishing and no less than 5 or 6 keepers every single time. The best part is I'm catching these fish right in the middle of the afternoon, no getting up early for me on the weekend grin.gif

Dark Cloud, those are some awesome shots of the Delly. People have no idea how beautiful that river is until you see it with the big boulders and the hills along it's banks and all the nice green foilage this time of year. Plus the fishing is pretty good too grin.gif
