Inside Diameter of collar on Lazer Adj Hand Auger

Im looking for the Inside dimension of the collar on the Strikemaster Lazer Adjustable Handle Hand Augers. I have an old Electra auger and I want to get a new lower unit for it. I have tested chippers and shavers and the shavers work much faster on it. Basically my question is can a lower drill unit of a strikemaster adjustable hand auger fit onto the drive shaft of power augers.

Not much help but I wouldn't think so....I believe the shaft on the power auger would be to big so without modification I don't think it would work.

I just measured in it on my 6" Lazer and it is a hair under 3/4".

I had the machine shop make me an adapter for mine and the exact size is .710 .

Can you provide any more info on what you did. I'm thinking about trying to make something to adapt a hand lazer to an gas eskimo. It looks like both rotate clockwise to cut and i can't see why something couldn't be made to work. Thanks
