RipJigger
I am looking to replace the front fiber optic sight on my 209x50 encore.I was not too impressed last year with the sight in low light conditions,it seemed like the red front sight disappeared even during the day if it was cloudy or snowing hard and almost impossible for me to see during the last half hr of legal shooting.Anybody have similar problems?Or can anyone reccomend a good one
huntnfish
I don't know about other sight options, but both of my muzzleloaders have fiber sights with the front being red. A friend of mine broke his front sight and took the gun to an archery shop(Scheels) and they put new fiber in it for just a couple bucks. He said they had a big roll of the stuff. Might be worth checking out what colors they have and just getting the fiber replaced in your sights.
koonie
Try green fiber optics, they show up much better than red. If not green try to find yellow.
