Self Proclaimed Team Otter NH division

Recommended Posts

My buddy and I bought a couple Otter shacks this year. The reccomendations from this site led to our decision. Since we are the only ones we know with Otters in NH we named ourselves Team otter NH division, lol.

Here is Team Otter in the elements. This should be a testament to what these shacks can handle. We waited for the wind to die to take down and quit for the day. It never died down and packing up was an experience. We made it though and I am impressed with what the shelter could handle.

Another question, did you guys catch any fish that day?

Nope, saw plenty on the camera but they wouldn't take anything.

Wow that's impressive, lucky you had some snow. I was out on superior last week where it's glare ice and almost got blown across the lake in my otter cabin. I've gotta invest in some ice anchors.

I took a ride in my otter in a high wind on glare ice....not fun. I covered about 100 yards at night in the dark. I was just happy it was early ice and I didn't kill anyone (including myself).

There was only a dusting. The snow in the pic is what accumulated because the shacks were there. We anchored in first thing. Those climbing screws are a dream, so easy. A bit on the expensive side but nice.
